guys guys.... its simple:

Chuck Norris Round house kick:
4 adrenaline
+10..22 to all adjacent foes, and then they die from the awesomeness

or maybe:

go horizontal on your spear and walk on all adjacent enemies faces (think Neo vs all the Smith's in Matrix part 2)
inflicts smelly foot face (cuz sandals smellz)

No no, you're doing it wrong. You have to break the spear into two pieces. The attack can also only hit a target-touched foe.

Oh wait...that's an assassin.

It could be a Prophecies PvE skill, since both Factions and Nightfall have 10 profession-specific skills.
Earned by making a certain Sorrow's Furnace quest.
But since there are no reputation titles in Prophecies, it would be unlinked, like this:

Downpour
A:8 C:2 R:n/a
Ranged attack. Lose all adrenaline. Attack target foe and all foes nearby to target foe. (Paragon. No attribute)

Oh yeah, A spear is a rangerd weapon, not a melee weapon, now if it were a "Lance" that would be a different story. Though you can still only stab one person at a time with a Lance, unless like 4 guys decided to stand in line for you and you got a real good running start, my even down hill for a bit more momentum, you could maybe puncture through a couple of them at once, DAMNIT, my mind has wandered off again.

ANYWAY......

A glimpse into the mind of a genius... well actually anyone who has a clue about guild wars. But since that only includes 1% of guild wars players, we can consider ourselves geniuses in comparison, right?

Anyways, I remember the Amazon in D2 had that multi attack, where the spear did a bunch of quick jabs hitting multiple enemies and doing less damage. Something like that would make sense. But from a balance standpoint Paragons DEFINITELY don't need such a skill.

I can't imagine someone chucking five spears at once. Maybe we could try this...

I play a paragon and can't stress it enough to my non-paragon buddies how annoying it is to build up adrenaline with a ranged weapon.
Besides.
Spears= Close range
Javelin= Mid-range

To contiune my rambling jibba jabba...

Why are there not Staff attacks? The "Bo Staff" IS a weapon, you ever see that purple Ninja Turtle whoop ass with his Bo Staff?

Or that guy Moses, he turned his staff into a snake, and it ate some other snakes. but then it was fat and he couldn't grip it well, or so I'm told.

Or maybe Staffs (Staves) could cause "Staph infections" when they deal Dmg.

So in summation, who needs "multi-target" Spear Attacks when Staff need to be buffed, the possiblies are seemingly endless.

Paragons already have similar raw DPS as a War. Wars get to hit lots of people, you get to change targets without moving and don't get the first crapload of hexes. Paras are in a better position if you look at it.

Sardelac Sanitarium needs to be locked and or be overseen before the actual thread gets posted, the 5% of decent ideas get lost within the 95% of crap ones. Then again Anet probably doesn't read this section for that reason.

Actually I think they do and that's part of the problem.


Paragons aren't a melee class as long as spears are thrown weapons so no. If you want AoE damage, there are a few other ways to get it.

I'm hoping...praying...you forgot the "/sarcasm" at the end of that. You have Focused Anger and Aggressive Refrain, and you suck at Adrenaline? You want to uninstall now, or learn to play?

OT...yeah, the spear is a ranged weapon, as the paragon is the leader, motivating from behind. If you are getting within Melee range enough to need spear as a melee weapon, you are playing your profession wrong. Be a warrior, Dervish, or sin.

well if the problem is ranged, why is everyone okay with barrage? something similar to dual shot or triple shot would be fine.

the spartan spear was an entirely valid melee and ranged weapon. the idea does slightly stray from the paragon concept, however. rangers get melee/aoe, even though they're considered a ranged class; traps also bypass most forms of defense. though the consensus is that the request simply lacks the standard focus on the paragon's strengths, it doesn't invalidate the idea. not everyone wants a cookie cutter. it's easy to say 'use my build, my build is better', but it really doesn't address the issue. furthermore, it's possible that the increased adrenaline will open up new builds, similar to SF's increase.

I'd rather them come up with a logical explanation of how characters pull spears and arrows out of their head. Quivers needed, yes?

They did say melee attack, so I'm going to guess (since there is a melee spear skill already), a spin attack involving multiple hits. I'm going to guess to make an Imbagon even more powerful.
